Hankering for TN

The only kind of book smarts I have are for cookbooks - I read them like novels. I love when they have stories like Apples for Jam. This is the new one I'm coveting - Loveless Cafe. I dream of traveling to the South and visiting cities like Nashville. If ever given the chance Loveless Cafe would be a mandatory stop. Oh, one day.

All Kinds of Sentimental

J and I went to see The Vow and I must confess that I bawled through the whole movie...and on the way to the car...and all the way home. If you're recently married or have any feelings at all this would be a perfect movie to go see. I suggest going at night because red puffy eyes aren't always welcome by strangers during daylight.

...and because I'm feeling a bit maudlin; here's video footage from when J and I came back from our honeymoon - makes me cry every time.

Infinity Hill

J and I have done this walk-hike twice now and both times I couldn't resist declaring my love for him at the top. It's called infinity hill and laid out in rocks is the infinity sign - how appropriate, right? I think so too!

Photo: J has a special camera which includes macro and I just discovered it's coolness!

Logs, Slaves, Luxury Cars: Lincoln

What will he bring to the name? Probably something just as amazing.

Dolly: Thank you for inviting me to my first woman party. I feel grown up and slightly more confident about my gender and the ability I have to give birth. I'm so happy for you and Tyler and I can't wait to see his little lips, toes, and nose.

The Tale of Dr. Dog

It was Where'd All the Time Go and NPR's Tiny Desk Concert that got me hooked. I watched Toby get low and strum the hollowed bass and I just knew that I would have to love this band forever. The cover of Heart it Races gets me pumped and The Beach reinvents the art of blues and psychedelics - their music is positively rave worthy. Dr. Dog then returned with their newest album Be The Void and booked a tour date at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco - tickets were a must. Jared and I got real close and enjoyed every second; the stage  set, the playlist, Toby's guttural voice, the synchronized clapping, the dancing, and oh my goodness, the music. It was a great concert!

Clockwatchers

If anyone has seen this movie they will understand how I've been feeling allllll day. I think I've looked at the clock 17 times since lunch. Somebody get me out of here!!!....36 minutes to go....

P.S. I love Lisa Kudrow (not shown here 'cause the picture above is a more accurate depiction of my feelings). Also, you gotta see this movie if you are feeling a lack of 90's style, music, culture, etc.

Work Space: Beautified

Though you may not dare say it aloud - you are a romantic - and I appreciate it more than you know.
