Warriors vs Kings

[audio http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/7/20/2919956//15 Cant Take My Eyes Off Of You.mp3]

The way I see it I win either way. The Warriors are my team in Berkeley, but Kings will always have a special place in my heart. This game was awesome - tied and forced to go into over time then the Warriors came back with the win 118 to 112. It was so amazing! Go Kings! Go Warriors! Oh my.

Over the Rhone

To see Starry Night (Over the Rhone) in person was like seeing the Lincoln Memorial; you know it exists, but until you see it all you have is faith and imagination. Tears welled up to see something so beautiful with my own eyes. The thick paint, tedious brush strokes, and poignant coloring - the art of Van Gogh.

After de Young we enjoyed Ike's Ménage à Trois while sitting on Ocean Beach - I love this Saturday and I only hope there will be more like this to come. I'm having the time of my life.

Salute

Realization: my job will always remain satisfying when I forget about invoices, deadlines, and delayed flights and remember that I love international visitors and the wonderful new things they show me.

Cognitive Dissonance

[audio http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/7/20/2919956//10 Cartwheels.mp3]

I don't care that the guy spelled my name wrong, I just wanted to sit in a comfy chair and pout. This was the worst day I had at work and I was all sour grapes about everything. I gave myself ten minutes to think that I had it worse than all the others and that my life was hard. Times up. Then I remembered three things:

1. Blunders can be fixed.
2. Monday's only last 24 hours.
3. Living Well Day by Day

Come Tuesday, come.

Contemporary Jewish Museum

The wait is over. I've finally visited the CJM in San Francisco and after all that time I've concluded that I wasn't missing too much. The exhibits were fine, but they've got nothing on DC museums. My favorite part was probably the Curious George exhibit: I never knew the writer was Jewish, go figure, huh? Nonetheless, the architecture is amazing!

My favorite posts from the best blogs - 2010 was certainly whimsical.
