Dearest m,

"June is here and it's clear to me that things will be good
for a while...
how long? i couldn't say, on how I wish june would stay,
he's such a handsome fellow that i adore...
if June were a man he'd be tall and tan
with a golden curl on his brow...
the son of Apollo, the sun god we follow,
so pleasant and quick with a smile...
he touches the corn and soon flowers are born,
swaying so sweet to his sighs...
oh, kiss me I'd swoon my dusk lovin' June,
the crickets are drunk on the season."

Pure Saint

[audio http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/7/20/2919956//04 Marry Me.mp3]

This concert is probably one of the many that I've listened to on npr that I remain baffled about and mysteriously magnetized to. The second time running through it I've picked a favorite: Marry Me John; a delicate, twisted, serenade. The set was excellent and sounded much more sporadic and original than the record. I hope any who visit this blog (though, perhaps limited to my mom and a few typists who have gone astray on the keyboard), hear something equally as good.
