Last Friday during class we were fortunate to have the opportunity to hear from the Ambassador of Jamaica, Anthony Johnson. He said something so wonderful and I vow to never forget these words; "Man, woman, and children: one unit." Johnson claimed that in Jamaica the thing that is lacking is the number of strong families in the community. He and his wife of 40 years have 4 children.
My only memory from living on the boat when I was little was my trip to Jamaica. I was with dad. I will always remember it because a crab bit my baby toe when I was swimming in a pool attached to the ocean. It hurt so bad! Before that happened, a beautiful Jamaican lady took me house to house to see her friends and family. I love Jamaica and hope to go back some day.
